Topic Clinic Based Early Symptom Intervention Programs

Speaker Katie McBee, PT, DPT, OCS, MS, CEAS II, PYT-C

Katie McBee is the Regional Director of WorkStrategies for Select Medical.  In this role she performs trainings, program development, program management and account management for 1400 outpatient physical therapy clinics to keep them up to date in industrial medicine and complex  pain patient management best practices.   She has a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Bellarmine University and a Master’s in Exercise Physiology Degree from the University of Louisville.   She received her board certification as an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist in 2010.  Katie is adjunct faculty for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at Bellarmine University.  The courses she teaches include: Exercise Physiology, Acute Care, Ergonomics and Pain Neuroscience.  Katie is a national continuing education instructor for Select Medical teaching “Management of the Injured Worker” and “The Complex Pain Patient”.  Katie has presented on industrial medicine, complex pain and workers’ compensation topics at 100’s of regional and national conferences.  Her clinical interests and current IRB approved research projects are focused around early identification and appropriate treatment of the complex pain patient.
