Ryan Cunningham

Ryan Cunningham is a compliance consultant with August Mack Environmental who has experience in multimedia environmental and safety compliance including permitting, reporting, and management system auditing. Prior to August Mack, Ryan worked as the Environmental Health & Safety Manager for a specialty chemical manufacturer in Columbus, Ohio. Ryan received his master’s degree in environmental, safety, and health management from the University of Findlay in 2022, and his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in environment and natural resources in 2019. In his free time, Ryan loves to golf, hunt, hike, camp, and be outdoors!

Tier II Reporting

Title – Have No Fear! Tier II Reporting Made Clear

Tier II reports provide crucial information about the types and quantities of hazardous chemicals stored at a facility to local emergency responders. They are also required to be submitted by March 1st each year by the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) under Section 312 for facilities that contain chemicals over certain thresholds. Are the chemicals at your facility subject to Tier II reporting? What is a Tier II report anyway?

This presentation will explain the history of EPCRA and give a comprehensive overview of Tier II reporting. We will discuss facilities that fall subject to Tier II reporting, submission requirements, reporting exemptions, as well as proactive strategies to help you feel prepared for reporting season. If this regulation applies to your facility, or you have an inkling that it does, please join us as we explore Tier II reports. This presentation can serve as a refresher, or an introduction.
