MEETING UPDATE
Greetings Everyone!

Hope you enjoyed the holiday season. Thank you to all that attended the December Chapter meeting as well as the social. We hope the gas meter information was found to be useful.

Please remember that suggestions for topics are always welcome. We want to know what you may find as a topic that can help your fellow safety professionals.

Speakers Bio:

Rose Berendt 

Rose Berendt has been in the natural gas industry for 35 years with Columbia Gas. Rose is a subject matter expert regarding Field Service, National Fuel Gas Code application, and Emergency Response.  Rose has developed and led training for trade schools, contractors, local schools and Fire Departments on ICS, Fire Safety Training and Emergency Response.  

Rose has two beautiful granddaughters that she treasures.  Rose also enjoys gardening, cooking, golf, football, baseball, and fishing with her husband.

Career Opportunity

Independent Contractor – Safety and Compliance Trainer

DiVal Safety Equipment is a premier distributor of Safety Equipment, Industrial and Contractor tools and equipment as well as providing Safety and Compliance Training and Services.

DiVal Safety Equipment seeks a Safety and Compliance Trainer to work as an Independent Contractor on a contract or freelance basis. This person will conduct training sessions on various safety and compliance topics to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering classroom-based training.
  • 5 years of experience in a safety-related field
  • Working knowledge of General Industry and/or Construction Safety standards and regulations
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor a plus
  • Individual must be reliable, punctual, and have strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with Audio/Visual equipment
  • Able to articulate and is professional in appearance.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Hours:           Variable (On a “Per Job” basis)
  • Pay Rate:      Variable (On a “Per Job” basis)

Independent Contractor – Construction Safety Professional

Sheakley Construction is looking for 2 independent construction safety professionals for a large data center project in the New Albany area. These individuals will oversee the steel erection process.

  • Position is $43.50/HR with a 50-hour work week required.
  • Employee will receive a 1099 after project completion.
  • Project duration is 4 months.
  • Working knowledge of Construction Safety standards and regulations
